Alvar Suñol (b. 1935), commonly known simply as Alvar, is one of Spain’s foremost postwar painters, sculptors, and printmakers.
Born in Montgat, Barcelona, he studied at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Jorge and exhibited widely across Europe and the United States.
His works blend romantic humanism, architectural precision, and surreal lyricism, earning him international recognition and inclusion in major private and public collections.
